About BCIS
BCIS (The Building Cost Information Service of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) has been providing guidance on the general level of prices in the building industry for more than 40 years and now has the most comprehensive independent database of building cost information data in the UK.
The information BCIS collects, collates, analyses, models and interprets is communicated via information services, web services, calculators, licenses and publications. BCIS has also been continuously engaged in consultancy and research projects for a variety of Government departments, industry bodies and commercial organisations.
Clients include the Association of British Insurers, BERR (Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform), CLG (Communities and Local Government), the Scottish Executive and the Housing Corporation.
